The majority of our readers and fans want us to be professional and balanced and do not want us to act like mindless cheerleaders.
Secondly. Many of you are aware that we are leaders in Instagram for Indoor Cycling. Our account known as @indoorcycling receives thousands of views every week. On Instagram we have posted over 100s of positive posts and have helped over 100 instructors and studios. Moreover. We have communicated with 100’s of instructors and studios.
You might of heard of the Motosumo App? It is SUPPOSED to do all these things such as:
World’s first sensor-free cadence measurement. – Dedicated views for cadence, heart rate, and power. Compatible with Bluetooth heart rate and power meters, for example Schwinn, Keiser, Spinning, ICG, BodyBike, and Wattbike. – Social connection – follow your instructor and team based on real-time data.
Wow. Will Motosumo solve the health crisis in the Western world? Motosumo has been around for years yet we haven’t heard about them on CNN. Have you?
That is why Indoor Cycling Society is reviewing this “app”.
Therefore. We had to speak out when an Indoor Cycling app make such claims (see above). Like going to “change indoor cycling”. Wow. Really? The local YMCA which has several Indoor Cycling classes a week does not use motosumo.
We did some research. To err on the side of caution we decided to share these reviews from the internet that in our opinion are realistic reviews from people who tried the Motosumo app:
“There is no way to share data between my iwatch and the app for heart rate, cadence etc.”
Next one:
“Today i rode for the first time since update and it was probably picking up my cadence about 30% of a 30 min ride. Phone was in the same position as it has been over the last year of using. So now it’s totally unusable and I’m bummed.”
Next one:
“Did not work with my Keiser m3+ nor my polar bluetooth heart rate monitor. Uninstalled”
Next one:
“Wild fluctuations are distraction in spin class. Sometimes group is displayed and sometimes not. I use a rigid bike mount I use on my road bike. Other spin class participants use a rubber band type mount. Not working well for anyone in class.”
Of course you want us to keep this review short and to the point.
As such. Since we are now world leaders for Indoor Cycling we felt it was our obligation to post this page to the public.
We ask you a question. Is it POSSIBLE that Motosumo App a gimmick?
Should you save your time and money and spend it on better things?
Lastly. We have a question for Susanne Tolstrup, the Motosumo marketing manager. If Motosumo is a popular and respected app. How come, as of Sept 27 2019, the app only has 8 reviews on the Apple App store?
A child in grade 5 education can visit the Apple app store and the child will notice that ONLY 8 PEOPLE HAVE REVIEWED the Motosumo app. We repeat, only 8 people. (As of Sept 27 2019)
Now look at another cycling app which is called: “Cyclemeter Cycling Bike Tracker” which does not advertise and does not have a marketing manager like Susanne Tolstrup. The Cyclemeter Cycling Bike Tracker has over 2200 reviews. That is correct, over 2200 reviews. Not, 8 reviews, but 2200 reviews.
So. Let’s compare, 8 vs 2200 reviews. As such. Is the Motosumo app popular? Or is it slick marketing? We think so. However you decide.
And by the way. 2200 reviews is not even high. The ride with GPS app has over 4800 reviews. Now compare that to 8 reviews. LOL.
To conclude. Now you know why thousands consider us the top Indoor Cycling Magazine and send us these kinds of messages like these.

We think it is best that if he wants to have Motosumo grow and improve more. Then he should connect with leaders in indoor cycling like us.
Trust us. We are not trying to get any profit or advertising. We just care about the indoor cycling fitness industry.
When we saw those negative reviews, and only 8 reviews, then is our duty to step in and look out for the consumer.
On the topic of team. Motosumo had a lawyer threaten us with legal action. Then their lawyer told us not to go public with the letter. Which is ironic. If the legal letter was truthful, would you not want the whole world to see the truth? Or was it because the lawyer does not want anyone to know that she sent the threatening letter to someone who makes 1/20th of her hourly rate? That, in our opinion, is an unfair fight. And you can ask a 5th grader for a second opinion.
