Indoor Cycling Magazine would be considered crazy if 100% of their reviews were positive. The majority of our readers and fans want us to be professional and balanced, and do not want us to act like mindless cheerleaders.
Which is why we took your advice and decided to write about our awful experience with one studio in San Diego California. We had a bad experience with SparkCycle in La Jolla, California and we were encouraged to ride about it.
Before we begin, many of you are aware that were leaders in Instagram for Indoor Cycling. Our account is @indoorcycling and we receive thousands of views every week. On Instagram we have posted over 100s of positive posts and have helped over 100 instructors and studios. That being said we also have communicated with 100’s of instructors and studios. Many times the communication was friendly and professional. Unfortunately some studios and/ or instructors have politics in their mind and prejudices and biases. So it is dangerous to joke with them.
Which brings us back to SparkCycle and more specifically one of their instructors known as “fit jen”, who is a white upper class female. Indoor Cycling magazine gave them lots of publicity. However, in our opinion, when she found out that the founder is a middle-eastern man she engaged in a smear campaign and sadly to say, a witch hunt. Which is why a defence must be published and that is what we are doing.
Millions are aware of the famous “I Love Cats” woman on Youtube and on TV. Here is a picture to refresh your memory.
Many found that funny and shared it with millions.
What is creepy is that when, the middle-eastern man, sent a picture of himself imitating the “I love cats” picture, as a MEME or as COMEDY to Ms. “Ms. Fit Jen” the instructor of SparkCycle, instead of laughing, Ms. Fit Jen from Spark Cycle engaged in a smear campaign against him; while some have even said a witch hunt. Remember Memes are not copies but come close to the real picture. However. “Ms. Fit Jen” engaged in a smear campaign and accused the good citizen of being the big bad wolf.
Now here is a picture from sparkcycle with fit jen on the left. We are not political but we have learned that some political minded folks create their own moral system where they can be mean and justify it. They feel they can demonize anyone and that everyone should conform. However if want to go with their moral system then we must take issue with pictures where SparkCycle has their logo on “Fit Jen’s” breasts. See picture below.
So as we can see either Sparkcycle and/or “Fit Jen” thinks putting a couple of logos on a women’s breasts is normal and moral. However the majority would consider that inappropriate, distasteful and not professional. Did they forget that young children and teenagers are on the internet? Just picture this conversation: “Mommy, why does that woman have logo on her breasts?. Mommy answers: “that is the new method of advertising dear”. Which of course is ridiculous. Let us not forget all the accusations recently about sexist advertising . And we can show the Sparkcycle lawyers many cases
So to conclude. Many times we hear of moral leaders and moral systems being accused of hypocrisy. How can we then say that those who make up their own moral system like “fit jen” are above reproach? Just because they live in sunny La Jolla they have become “High Flyers” ?
What is even more pernicious is the vindictiveness where ms. fit jen decided to engage in a smear campaign sending out hateful messages against the person who helped her and published several positive posts about her and the studio. What moral system is “fit jen” practicing?
Has Jen and her disciples seen the log in her eye instead of the speck in my eye?
However the good news is that many are giving their businesses to better studios in the area such as Rush Indoor Cycling Studio https://www.rushcycle.com/
