Spin Énergie in Montreal brings the new indoor cycling trend from NY and LA
Spin Énergie the brand new indoor-cycling studio in town opens it’s doors officially! Located at 3483 Parc avenue, Spin Énergie offers a full body workout with the best music in town.
Inspired by Soul Cycle where he has been training for a year, the Montreal actor Yanic Truesdale, motivated by the joy of having found a challenging and fun work out, decided to open it’s own studio in Montreal. What set Spin Énergie apart from the old fashion spinning is that you will do a full body work out with weight routine, push ups and core movements while cycling on the beat of the music. Think of it as a very challenging flash mob on a bike. Since the music is key to the class, Truesdale asked his friend, the internationally known DJ Robert De La Gauthier to be consultant for the play lists.
“Lack of time is often a major factor as to why we don’t work towards our fitness goals, but even the busiest of us can fit in a 45 min ride to energize our body and burn the extra calories” says Truesdale. For him, every detail contributes to the experience including a uniquely design environment with dim lights and candles in the spinning room.
With about 40 bikes the facility offers spinning shoes, lockers with keys, towels and high end amenities. No membership is required you come as you please. You can pay per class or buy a series at a discounted rate. Only by creating a profile at www.spinenergie.com you get your first ride for free. You can reserve your class and bike on line.
Spin Énergie scouted the entire Montreal area to find the best and most dynamic instructors. They are very proud of the team they have put together and the training that everyone did in NY. While each of them have their own personality and style, they all provide the same complete full body work out. They pride themselves for having the best music in town as they think it is much easier to go the extra mile with a great soundtrack. The studio just became partners with Lululemon athletica and will offer classes to their customers.
Known internationally for playing Michel Guerard in the hit series Gilmore Girls, Yanic Truesdale was recently nominated for a Gémeaux for his role in Mauvais Karma. Anxious to bring this new form of indoor cycling to his hometown, he is thrilled to share his new passion with Montrealers. Who knew that after calling spinning boring years ago, a revamp of it would make him change his mind!
