THE SHORT VERSION: BASEMENT STUDIO WITH NO WINDOWS, ONE SHOWER, ALLEGATIONS OF RACIAL PROFILING, EXPENSIVE, NO PARKING. POOR VENTILATION. BASIC STUDIO LIGHTS, DANGEROUS SEXUAL MOLESTATION POLICY WITHOUT DUE PROCESS, AND THEY TOOK OVER A PERVIOUS STUDIO THAT WENT OUT OF BUSINESS.
In 2022 the city of Vancouver, BC in Canada experienced some epic Spin Studio events. The first unexpected surprise was when we heard that Soulcycle in Vancouver was closing. Which was a huge Indoor Cycling bomb. Many of us felt lost and disconcerted. However, a few months later, in the summer of 2022, there the second huge earth-shaking surprise fell upon us. Daniela Dib who is a Vancouver ex-Soulcycle instructor. opened up a small, basement, no-windows, one shower studio in downtown vancouver. Daniela has built on the promise of “bringing community right to your living room.” As such she is proud to announce that on September 24 2022 she opened her own new studio in Vancouver called DB FIT spin studio.
Regarding her spin class and her spin class style.
We went to her class and it wasn’t full. The spin room is the smallest in Vancouver and not well ventilated, the mirrors were steaming.
Regarding the Studio Lights. We were disappointed with the studio lights. Very basic studio lights, and many times they did not even use them. Just pitch black, in a basement, with no windows.
Her choreography was basic and her queuing was basic, sometimes confusing which caused some to just sit down. One point in the class she told everyone that she is a dancer and rode the bike on one leg while extending her other leg to the mirror? Ok?
Then there is the serious concern of racial prejudice. The place is managed by all white females. However when a non-white man come to class, they removed two riders who were next to him. Why did they move two riders next to him? To feel rejected? Secondly, A white man got free active wear when he bought a 20 pack membership. But when the middle-eastern inquired about the free activewear Alyssa Negard , the manager, told him he had to buy a 50 pack.
However. one RED FLAG for you. Read their horrific “Terms and Conditions”. The white female owned and managed studio are ready to accuse men of molestation, exploitation, and harassment. And to make it more atrocious, without due process.
And if you are ok with that. Wait there’s more. They have you vacate your right to privacy and when you enter you agree to be photographed and video taped. Now here is the icing on the cake: for that kind of treatment you have to pay for it also. (Regarding the 5 star reviews: they sent out a mass email asking for positive reviews)

However they are less notorious than the other spin studio in Vancouver known as Ride Cycle Club, which is known for their racial prejudice and hate crimes.
